It seems I’ve veered off the UBBT road a little bit. Not irreparably so, as I’m regularly posting progress in all of the requirements, just shy of my daily goals, and a bit overtaken by other life activities, like work, which is bursting the boundaries of an 8-hour workday. With it being the end of a month, and a beginning of a new one, it’s a great time to take stock of goals, so I find myself going back to my statement of intent to see what I really committed to, and re-upping.
I’m also looking around me to find those inspirational people who get me fired up. One of them is a lady who was walking around the path this past weekend (also at McKinley, a fave spot). She had a marked limp, and took occasional breaks, but kept on moving, never giving up. Encouraging people are also at the gym–especially the regulars who show up, day in and day out. I was especially touched by the self-defense class this past Saturday–so many great ladies who were keying into their inner power.
So, I’m not in the ditch, and not so far off in the fields that the parade is passing me by. I’m looking towards those folks who are leading the way, and also inward as to where I am and what I really want to be doing, and finding my way back to the road. C’mon, February!
