UBBT – Week 2

In Black-Belt Candidate by Chrissy ScottLeave a Comment

2 weeks down, 50 or so to go!

So far so good. I’m keeping up with my lunch time workouts and I continue to be “motivated” (read taunted or teased) by my cell mates at work. The white board in my cubicle is a special little alert to my neighbor who apparently doesn’t like odd numbers. Every now and then I have to do 10 push-ups or sit-ups just to make the white board full of even numbers. Ha.

I think I’ve started up a little running group at work, too. Have 4 or 5 people a day running with me now. It lessens my daily miles on those days, but it gets people out and the company is nice. I had the idea that maybe my community service project will be to coach a company couch to 5k program. Just thoughts for now…While it brews I have been able to make up any lost mileage on the bike. Good to go!

I continue to have a hard time with the meditation, but it just so happens that my first book is on… meditation. So I’m incorporating a lot of quiet time/deep breathing in. Sometimes the word “meditate” intimidates me a bit. I missed my basics repetitions one day, but now worries, I will work them in, one at a time.

So…onward!
