Spring into Action! “Nothing Happens Until You Move!”
Hard to believe we are only in mid-February, and yet Spring is very much upon us! I am a bit conflicted as I love snow skiing and the winter months when it rains here in the valley and snows in the mountains, but there is most certainly always a sense of renewal and rejuvenation when spring is in the air.
This past week I have felt slightly off; maybe a little less energetic and a minor yet persistent headache which may possibly be allergies with all of the flower’s and trees in bloom. Not sure, doesn’t really matter. The main thing I need to do is keep moving! This morning I was able to get some good sparring time in with Dirk-san and Elijah-san as well as 100 pushups and crunches plus kata practice. Upon returning home there was a spring in my step and I commenced to do some more pushups in between some yard work, while soaking up some sun.
I have a busy week ahead as I will be meeting my new manager who is coming out from Texas for a few days, and will be in the bay area for a few days as a result. This presents some challenges relative to my training cadence, but most of the time I find a way to get my daily requirements covered. The key imperative even at the end of a long work day is–“Nothing Happens Until You Move!”
