I started my test on the 1st of December 2022. Over the next year, just like Lucas, Dirk, and David, my goals are to do 50,000 pushups and situps, 1,000 rounds of sparring, and 1000 reps of a kata. December was a journey, I was very very sore from doing pushups and situps but it got better as the month went on.
So far, my biggest challenge has been sparring rounds. I got injured on the first day of my test which has made it difficult to get as many rounds as I normally could. I have healed mostly, if not all the way and look forward to jumping back into sparring this week.

I’m glad that you were able to get some grappling rounds in place of striking. We want to know how your rounds with Sensei Chris are going!
