This Saturday, House Tenko, took a trip down to Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary to help out for the day. Some of the older members including myself went to Happy Tails ealy to clean, some members cleaned the around the cat pens and the main visiting area. I cleaned the operating room, it was hard work but in the end it looked pretty good. Later around noon, we invited all younger kids to come to Happy Tails to make cat toys for the cats. We had 3 different toys that everyone was able to make, and after we used all the materials we donated them all to Happy tails. Overall, it was a super fun experience being able to bring our values that we learn in the dojo and bring them out in the work to help people. Especially Happy Tails, they are a no kill cat shelter, so no matter what the cat can stay at Happy Tails and live a good life. I’m sure the kids that helped out all had a great time being able to interact with the cats.
My test it was going well. I’ve rode my bike a lot more recently, so my miles have been going up and up which is awesome. During the Tuesday weapons class, we have been doing weapon sparring so that adds to my rounds which is nice. All in all, everything is moving and everything is good!
