Lucas Grant: Week 23

This week was very fun! As I mentioned previously, I was going to go on a houseboat trip with a large bunch of my family. This was the week I got to go! It was super fun being able to see family I haven’t seen in a while, and it was great being able to relax on a nice cool lake in the hot sun. I got to go fishing, tubing, and all sorts of other water activities. I had to sleep on the roof of the house boat which was nice but very hot, and in the next couple of nights there was a big storm going on. Bolts of lighting lit up the sky and wind blew like crazy, luckily it didn’t rain all too much. But having to sleep through all of that was a bit of a challenge.

I have recently been getting into photography so I brought my camera on the trip to take some pictures. I was stoked of how the ones I took came out, I even got a picture of a bolt of lighting. The color scheme of Lake Mead is very orange, tan, and brown, so when the sun came to set all of those colors popped and it made a beautiful skyline to take pictures of.

Overall, this trip was great, I’m super glad I went and I hope we do it next year. It was also fun to explain how many push-ups and sit-ups I have to do for my test. Everyone’s face when I say 50,000 is priceless!
