I am sore. So. Very. Sore. My legs are the worst, specifically my shins, but my shoulders and biceps aren’t doing so well either. Surprisingly, my abs feel totally fine. I ordered some Tiger Balm off of Amazon and it’s been a major relief, but there’s only so much it can do. Despite not feeling the greatest I’ve still been meeting my daily requirements for push-ups, sit-ups, kata, and the 1,000 mile journey. I finished my running playlist and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s been keeping me pumped which surprised me since it’s a genre I don’t normally listen to.

Keep pushing through, Geneva-san…but, listen to your body, too! Balance! It’s all about balance! Oh, and if ever you want some music tips for your playlist, let me know!
Make sure you are drinking lots of water as well–more than you think you need. It will help with overall energy level but especially with muscle recovery! Also, turmeric tea can help with general stiffness and inflammation. Old Okinawa karate secret. Some people add honey or something if you aren’t keen on the taste. I just drink it straight because I’m a crazy kind of Sensei.
