My friend and practice partner David san posted recently about our Sunday coffee ritual. Same as for him I enjoy this quiet time with discussions and good hot brew.
I already talked about the positive impacts of turmeric and curcumin, which I use regularly to improve my heart and joint health. However, there are a few benefits coffee gives you beyond the energy boost.
There are recent studies that found coffee drinkers are less likely to die from some of the leading causes of death in women: coronary heart disease, stroke, and kidney disease. Coffee helps you to process sugar better and is decreasing the likelihood to get type 2 diabetes. Also, if you drink coffee you are less likely to develop heart failure, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Your liver will thank you as well as it keeps your enzyme levels within a healthy range.
Coffee decreases breakage in DNA strands that can lead to cancer or tumors.
All of these benefits David and I are raking in while chit-chatting away in the Sunday sun after a round of morning workout.
