Week 47 – Dirk Herfurth

As the autumn weather starts to set in, I’ve been trying to make the most of the last few sunny days by getting my miles in to meet my 1,000 mile goal.

But as with any adventure, there have been a few bumps along the way. As I crashed my bike a few months ago, I ended up breaking the derailleur. While I was able to get it repaired, it was only able to be fixed as a single speed bike.

Despite this setback, I’m determined to keep going and rack up as many miles as I can. The trail is such a peaceful and beautiful place, and I’ve been enjoying the chance to get some exercise and clear my head. Plus, with the weather starting to cool down, it’s the perfect time to be out on the bike.

While I may not be able to ride as fast as I could before, I’m still having a great. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy the great outdoors.
