This week marks the end of my trip to Kauai and my 16th birthday. My family and I have filled our week with adventure. We have gone snorkeling at a couple beaches, which is really fun but also nerve racking. This is mostly due to the open water, but also the population of pufferfish close to shore. I snorkeled for the first time on this trip and while it is fun I probably will not do it again for the foreseeable future. In addition to snorkeling, we explored the island and ended up going mini golfing at a combination mini golf course and botanical garden. It was really fun and we ended up finding a hole in the wall Venezuelan restaurant with amazing food. We also went kayaking up the river and it ended up raining on us for most of it. On my birthday we went boogie boarding and went out to dinner at a restaurant on the beach.
