This week concluded my trip to Juneau. My dad, aunt, uncle, and I chartered a salmon fishing boat on our last full day up here and spent the first half of the day on the water. It was not what I was expecting at all and it was super fun. The fishing rods were on a device that lowered them to depths between 45-85 feet if I recall correctly and we took turns reeling the fish in whenever there was a bite. I caught two salmon, a chum and a pink. My dad caught one and my aunt caught three. The second half of the day we spent at my second cousin’s wedding. The ceremony was small and really nice. The reception was in the lodge of the ski resort the ceremony was held at and I got to see a ton of family I haven’t seen in years as well as meet some of my younger cousins. On our trip home, everything was going smoothly until my bag and our frozen salmon didn’t come out with the rest of our luggage. The airline had left them in Seattle after our layover. Luckily, they were put on the next flight and we had them by that night. The day after I got back, I went to a friend’s house in Rocklin to go swimming and light off fireworks for the Fourth of July. The week ended with the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), which as expected is incredible.
