Cooper Riegel – Week 14

This week has been excited and stressful. The stress was from midterms, I had 3 in total; Chemistry, Math, and History. Math was super easy, but I had to study a lot for the chemistry midterm. I’m confident I did well on both and am not too worried. Auburn also got snow this week, it didn’t last very long but the prospect of a snow day was nice while it lasted. My dad and I also went for a hike and were pleasantly surprised by some flowers that are starting to bloom. I also went skiing and it ended up being a stormy day. The visibility was low and I couldn’t see anything clearly further than about 30 feet. It is a little nerve racking in those conditions but it is still super fun and always a good challenge. By the end of the day, I had ice chunks stuck all over my hair that wasn’t covered by my helmet. Skiing has been great for miles and I am super glad that I have been able to incorporate it into my test. The rest of my test has been going well and I am continuing to improve in sparring. My stances have also been improving from doing kata every day, which is always great.
